FashionTime Designers Project Presents Collections By Russian Designers
November 1, 2015 14:33

With the help of, the first fashion portal in the Russian internet community, three designers were chosen to become part of the project. This year the main runway of the country featured works by such brands as KARINA KHIMCHINSKAYA, MammySize and Zulfiya Sulton.

The Manezh Exhibition hall saw the presentation of KARINA KHIMCHINSKAYA’s THE ONE collection, with each exhibit of it created as a single item which would be especially great for those young women willing to stay unique. The runway show opened with a Cleopatra style paillette dress. Women’s wear line show continued with two-level cream skirts and bright blue peasant dress.
It is already hard to imagine the FashionTime Designers project without the participation of MammySize. Especially because the mission of the brand cannot be overestimated – making such clothes for pregnant women that would underscore the beauty of this period in women’s lives. Light and feminine shapes, bright details, neat cut and pastel shades softened by flower prints creating tender images for a mom-to-be to feel graceful and elegant. Silhouettes presented in the MammySize Spring/Summer 2016 collection are fine and simple. The collection is dominated by ‘tasty’ caramel colors, but some unexpected saturated color blends and flower prints are also present. The story of “blue” continues to unfold in the denim, which is widely used in the brand’s collection.
Uzbek brand Zulfiya Sulton, established in 2007 in Uzbekistan, presents haute couture collections. Brand philosophy is to combine the oriental elegance and the stylish comfort of the western fashion traditions by using complicated cut techniques and creating unexpected and unusual combinations. Its new collection showed at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia, features mainly pastel shades, fresh fruit tinges and saturated colors. Bell bottoms, asymmetrical silhouettes, elegant skirts made from Uzbek fabrics, all share the mood of the traditional Ikat technique, as well as fuchsia and turquoise abundance. The collection is also about tender and weightless dresses, fine handwork and flawless details – a compliment to the eternal classics and quoting of traditions.
