Film from the 31st Season of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia made together with YouVisit became the Winner of Virtual Reality Festival.

Mirror to the Soul is the unique virtual reality film about 31st Season of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia made together with YouVisit that won in nomination the Best VR Travel Film or Experience at Virtual Reality Festival.

YouVisit is the leading virtual reality services provider that started working with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia in the 31st season. Among the objectives of this project is to bring more exposure to new and upcoming Russian designers, for which purpose YouVisit has developed an all-access virtual reality experience of the fashion show that will be accessible to mobile users across the globe.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia set the new standards for the Russian fashion community supporting young designers and helping them in entering home and international markets. In order to better engage with its audience, the Fashion Week leveraged immersive content created by YouVisit that includes an up-close and personal view of what’s happening on the runway, as well as an exclusive look into the backstage mechanics of the show.

Making the world of high-end fashion more accessible, YouVisit earned the award for Best VR Travel Film or Experience for its film made together with Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Russia entitled Mirror to the Soul which tells about the 31st Season of the Fashion Week. Once again it proves that Russian fashion is interesting to the world and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia gets to use the most topical opportunities for promoting participants of the Fashion Week at the international fashion environment.

'At YouVisit, we believe that the future of virtual reality is in enhancing real-world experiences,' said Abi Mandebaum, CEO of YouVisit. Working with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia, we are able to provide not only the ability for viewers to have a closer connection to each designer, but the opportunity for the work presented at the fashion show to be accessible to anyone in the international community, weeks and months after it has ended. As VR continues to evolve, it is this kind of content that will make the technology a more commonplace tool and our work with the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia is a great example of what this can mean for the fashion world.'

'I am quite sure that Virtual Reality can be used as the communication tool in the fashion world. Clients who have never been at a Fashion Week get the chance to experience it and experience in every detail. Using the Virtual Reality experience in the world of fashion will be for the first time fully demonstrated at MBFW in Moscow,' says Alexander Shumsky, President of the Russian Fashion Council and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia.
