Fall-Winter 2017 by Kseniaseraya

Fall-Winter collection 2016/17 from designer KSENIASERAYA was made in collaboration with the artist Anna Mokhova and inspired by the history of discovering of the Arctic region and nature's phenomena so typical for that territory.

It can be traced in the geometric shapes, reserved colors and textures — imitation of crystallization of sea salt on dresses, patterns of local inhabitants as well as in cozy sweaters with 3D knitting patterns. Color palette of the collection is the smooth shift from the colors of soil and water to light shades — dark brown, airy blue, beige, powder beige and natural white.

Ksenia Seraya graduated from POLIMODA Instituto di Fashion design majoring in Marketing. She received Master’s degree in Advanced Fashion Design (Florence, Italy) in 2011. After graduation she was on internship in the Ermanno Scervino company in knitwear department. In 2013 she began development her first collection under KSENIASERAYA label.

Principal concept of the brand is the maximum use of professional knitting computer software for designing the collections. New technologies is the tool, in the 21st century machines shall be making clothes not people. Electronic knitting machines go beyond the use of conventional cut, provide opportunities for producing seamless one-piece items. Each detail in the collection is produced according to the principle of mono-repeat with pre-assigned pattern. 

SLAVA ZAITSEV, Alena Akhmadullina, VIVA VOX, YASYA MINOCHKINA (the Ukraine), Julia Nikolaeva, Dasha Gauser, Julia Dalakian, PIROSMANI BY JENYA MALYGINA, YULIA PROKHOROVA BELOE ZOLOTO, IGOR GULYAEV, Goga Nikabadze (Georgia), DIMANEU, Saint-Tokyo, Outlaw Moscow, MASTERPEACE – these and many other designers whose names are already familiar to the fashion world present their collections at the runways of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia. Talented new-comers who are traditionally supported by Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia also demonstrate their works.  ‘Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia is a large professional event that meets all the requirements the fashion week might claim. For me personally the quality and convenient venue of the event are very important, and in this respect MBFW Russia is perfectly organized and well-coordinated! I enjoyed the participation in the Fashion Week and happy to use the opportunity to present my collection at the Russian market.
