Fall-Winter 2017 by Goga Nikabadze

 GOGA NIKABADZE seemed to take the audience to the imperial environment of the East. The designer managed to combine comfort and authenticity with forethought and persistence.

He offered velour pipestem pants, cotton shirts, cardigans and vests for men and gorgeous chiton-like floor-length shirt dresses for women. Uniqueness of this collection was emphasized with natural splendor of sandy, burgundy and sapphire shades.

Goga Nikabadze was born in 1986 on February 2. In 2006 he graduated from the Batumi State University of Arts , where he specialized in clothes modeling and fashion design. In the year 2000, when he was only 14 years old, he launched his first women ready-to –wear collection called “Teenager” in Batumi. The same year he created his «S/S -2000» women ready-to –wear collection in Tbilisi, the muse and organizer of which was famous Georgian movie actress Lika Kavzharadze. In 2001 Goga Nikabadze presented three of his collections – «Swimwear 2011», « S/S-2001», «A/W-2001» which were showcased in Tbilisi and Batumi. In 2002 he presented his  «S/S-2002» and «A/W- 2002» women’s wear collections in Batumi and Tbilisi. In 2003 he designed his «Egyptian motives» collection, followed by «S/S-2003» and «A/W -2003» women’s wear collections presented in Batumi and Tbilisi. In  2004 he was awarded a  «Grand Prix» at the competition for young designers held in Tbilisi.  The same year he launched «A/W-2004» women’s wear collection in Batumi and Tbilisi. In 2005 Goga Nikabadze founded a modeling agency called “The silhouette” and created a collection of cocktail dresses for « Miss Georgia 2005» contestants. In the same 2005 the Goga Nikabadze store opens in Batumi, where women ready-to-wear collections are presented and individually hand tailored clothes are made.   In 2006   «S/S-2006» and «A/W-2006» women ready-to- wear collections were launched in Batumi and Tbilisi.  In 2007,  Goga Nikabadze together with  the Georgian famous singer Eka Kvaliashvili launched a project which was called « ollections show».  The same year his women ready-to wear “Gipsy collection» was presented in Batumi and Tbilisi.  The year 2008 is focused on the eighties along with Goga Nikabadze’s women’s wear collection called « The eighties» followed by swimwear collection for «Miss Georgia 2008» competition. Later on this year the finalists of «Miss Georgia 2008»   modeled at his “Asian woman” collection shown in Batumi. In 2009 his collection of wedding dresses is presented.

In 2010, his new «A/W-2010» women’s wear collection is showcased in Tbilisi within “Georgian fashion week” under the name of « Autumn leaves». This very collection was pointed out by the former Jean Paul Gaultier fashion house director as the Georgian fashion week’s favorite one. The same year Goga creates «S/S- 2011» women ready to-wear collection named “Gipsy camp» which he successfully presents at the «Georgian fashion week 2010». In 2011 he shows his «A/W-2011» women wear collection named «Woman’s dream» at the  «Georgian fashion week», followed by the  collection of cocktail dresses showcased in Batumi. In October this year again within the frame of «Georgian Fashion week» he presents his new «S/S-2012» women’s wear collection named «Summer time». In 2011 Goga NIkabadze undertook an internship at «Slava Zaitsev fashion Lab» where he specialized in costume design. In 2012, at the “Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia” held in Moscow, he presents «A/W-2012/13»  women ready-to wear collection. In August the new summer womn’s wear collection named «Midnight summer 2012» was launched with the show held at the Batumi seaside.  In November 2012, within «Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia 2012» Goga Nikabadze will present his new «S/S-2013» collection named « Messy bouquet».
 
SLAVA ZAITSEV, Alena Akhmadullina, VIVA VOX, YASYA MINOCHKINA (the Ukraine), Julia Nikolaeva, Dasha Gauser, Julia Dalakian, PIROSMANI BY JENYA MALYGINA, YULIA PROKHOROVA BELOE ZOLOTO, IGOR GULYAEV, Goga Nikabadze (Georgia), DIMANEU, Saint-Tokyo, Outlaw Moscow, MASTERPEACE – these and many other designers whose names are already familiar to the fashion world present their collections at the runways of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia. Talented new-comers who are traditionally supported by Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia also demonstrate their works.  ‘Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia is a large professional event that meets all the requirements the fashion week might claim. For me personally the quality and convenient venue of the event are very important, and in this respect MBFW Russia is perfectly organized and well-coordinated! I enjoyed the participation in the Fashion Week and happy to use the opportunity to present my collection at the Russian market.
