A "red" level of risk has been declared in Moscow because of the heat that established in the Russian capital during the last few days. The level of dangerous heat and air pollution in Moscow is going up.

Russian center of the weather forecast, "Phobos" comments that at the moment the temperature is  six degrees above normal. Today the air in the city will warm up to +31 ... + 33 degrees.  Because of the dominant anticyclone a large amount of harmful impurities accumulates in the atmosphere over the territory of the capital, their number can be several times higher than normal.

Environmentalists urged Muscovites to take care of their health more attentively these days. During such heat young children and the elderly are at high risk, as well as those who suffer from cardiovascular diseases.

According to the forecasts of meteorologists there won’t be any changes soon.

Thus, according to the Hydrometeorological bureau, rains are bypassing Moscow. "The last normal rain was observed on June 28, exactly one month ago. At the beginning of July, there were  three days of rain, which together yielded only 4 mm. The driest month was in July of 1997 with its 6 millimeters," - the specialists say. Such weather will remain in the first week of August.

Despite the fact that the current July is one of the driest in the history, according to meteorological observations the heat wave of 2010 will not happen again.  Four years ago, on July 29 the air warmed up to 38 degrees in the Russian capital.

Because of the heat Moscow public utilities switched to the enhanced mode. For example, the roads in the capital are watered twice more often than usual. This enhanced mode will be followed by urban services until the average temperature is below 25 degrees.

Hot summer weather is not only in Moscow, but in St. Petersburg as well. On Sunday, for example, it was impossible to open Vkontakte social network website because of the high temperature in the city.  Site was unavailable", - the press secretary George Lobushkin explained.
