The Head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov has expressed confidence that the organization of the murder of the Russian opposition leader Boris Nemtsov involved Western intelligence agencies.
This was written by him on his Instagram page. According to Kadyrov’s opinion, the crime was committed in order to create internal conflict in Russia. “This is their practice [of Western intelligence agencies]. First they bring a person closer, inspire him, call him a friend of America and Europe, and then sacrifice him, in order to blame this on the political leaders”- he noted. The Head of Chechnya mentioned the “hate of Kiev to Russia”.
“Ukrainian security services could help to execute the sentence Nemtsov in any Western capital” - the politician stressed. According to Kadyrov, the murder of Nemtsov could not be beneficial to the Russian government, as the government itself needed him. He explained that Nemtsov was the opposition member who “was formally there, but was not really a bright leader of the so-called opposition”. In conclusion, Kadyrov expressed his condolences to the families and friends of the murdered politician.
The 55-year-old Boris Nemtsov was killed in the centre of Moscow on the night of February 28. Unknown persons riding in a white car shot him in the back at least six times while he was walking through Bolshoy Moskvoretsky Bridge with his friend. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case by the articles “Murder” and “Illegal arms trafficking”. The investigation is considering several versions of the event. In particular, the murder could be a provocation for destabilization of the political situation in Russia.
The “version associated with the Islamic extremist trace” is also considered: Nemtsov “was threatened in connection with his position regarding the shooting of the journalists of the magazine Charlie Hebdo in Paris”. In addition, the crime could be related to the inner conflict in Ukraine, as well as commercial activities of Nemtsov or someone’s personal dislike towards him.
