The activists of the “Russian Liberation Movement SERB”, who have lately desecrated the place of murder of the politician Boris Nemtsov on the Bolshoy Moskvoretsky Bridge, intend to repeat the “action”. This was reported by the radio station “Moscow Speaking” on Wednesday, March 25.
In an interview with the radio station the leader of the movement Igor Beketov, known under the pseudonym “Gosha Tarasevich”, told that the bridge was a public place which “couldn’t be turned into a hellhole”.
“Naturally, we will come back there and repeat the action” - he said. As the “Moscow Speaking” radio station notes, the supporters of Nemtsov are preparing a claim on the activists of SERB, which can be sent to the Russian Investigative Committee and the Prosecutor’s Office already on March 26. On March 24 the activists of the “Russian Liberation Movement SERB” included into “Antimaydan” vandalized the place of murder of Nemtsov, where people bring flowers, candles, pictures and posters in memory of the politician.
Tarasevich published “the report on the operation conducted on the Bolshoy Moskvoretsky Bridge” and a few photos in the social network “VKontakte”. The photos show two activists with scarves in colors of St. George ribbon painting out the plate “Nemtsov Bridge” and sticking labels with offensive slogans against the murdered Nemtsov to the portraits of the politician. In the same evening the supporters of Nemtsov arrived at the Bolshoy Moskvoretsky Bridge and cleaned up the mess.
The 55-year-old Boris Nemtsov was killed in the centre of Moscow on the night of February 28. Unknown persons riding in a white car shot him in the back at least six times while he was walking through Bolshoy Moskvoretsky Bridge with his friend. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case by the articles “Murder” and “Illegal arms trafficking”. The investigation is considering several versions of the event. In particular, the murder could be a provocation for destabilization of the political situation in Russia. The “version associated with the Islamic extremist trace” is also considered: Nemtsov “was threatened in connection with his position regarding the shooting of the journalists of the magazine Charlie Hebdo in Paris”. In addition, the crime could be related to the inner conflict in Ukraine, as well as commercial activities of Nemtsov or someone’s personal dislike towards him.
