The number of the officially registered unemployed in Russia grew by 12% since the beginning of the year, which coincided with the level of reduction in the number of available vacancies at Russian enterprises - 13.6%, as RBC quotes the statistics of the Ministry of Labor.
According to the newspaper, the officials of the departments so far do not see it as a problem. Thus, the Head of the Ministry of Labor Maksim Topilin, reporting to President Vladimir Putin on the state of the labor market, pointed at the retirement growth rate lower than that during the crisis of 2008.
“We had almost 3% of the registered unemployment at the peak of the previous crisis, now its level amounts to 1.3%” – Topilin stated. One of the officials of the government social block told to the newspaper that the Ministry was regarding the situation as a manifestation of “structural imbalance” which can be mitigated by redirecting people to other jobs. 52 billion roubles within the anti-crisis plan have already been allocated for this purpose, the money will be used to improve the mobility of workers, their further training and the promotion of employment among young people. The interlocutor of RBC knows that targeted subsidies have already been approved for the authorities of the Altai Territory, Tatarstan, Samara and Tver regions, and another 44 regions are expecting consideration of applications.
The recruiting companies HeadHunter and Superjob told to the edition that the ratio of resumes and available vacancies has been changing in opposite directions during las year: the number of vacancies fell by 8-13%, and the number of resumes grew by 19-40%. Heads of dozens of large companies announced downsizing during last months.
It has lately became known that 40,000 managers in defense and machine-building enterprises of “Rostech” have been dismissed.
