Withdrawal of cash from unnamed plastic cards and electronic wallets will be prohibited. This was stated by Prime Minister, Dmitry Medvedev, during the government meeting. According to him, the practice of cashing money from unnamed bank cards and wallets does not correspond to "civilized approaches that exist throughout the world."

Russian payment systems are currently actively using anonymous wallets. In particular, Yandex.Money offers an appropriate service with restrictions that do not exist for users who have provided passport data. According to the rules of the service, you can pay at a time no more than 15 thousand rubles in Russian stores and withdraw no more than 5 thousand rubles per day.

In April 2016, the Central Bank and Rosfinmonitoring called for the prohibition of cashing out the funds in anonymous wallets. In their opinion, all such instruments should be tied to a bank account.
