The amount of bribes revealed in Russia last year amounted to 6.7 billion rubles, which is almost three times more than  the amount recorded in 2016. In 2016, according to the committee, the total amount of bribes was 2.3 billion rubles.

The amount of bribes revealed in the framework of anti-corruption cases reached 4.5 billion rubles. This is four times more than the amount recorded in 2016.

Almost half of corruption-related crimes in Russia in 2017 amounted to petty bribery, which from the year before was allocated to a separate item. In December 2017, Russian officials reported that a quarter of Russians at least once bribed to officials. About 60 percent never did that, and 15 percent refused to talk about it.
