The Anti-Corruption Fund will be liquidated due to the claim of the company, which is associated with businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin, as Alexei Navalny said. The amount of the claim is 88 million rubles.
Opposition politician Alexei Navalny announced the liquidation of the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK). This is reported on his website. “We really have to say that the non-profit organization Anti-Corruption Fund, which I founded 9 years ago, has come to an end because it is simply taken away from us,” Navalny said. He recalled that last year the Moscow Arbitration Court ruled to recover 88 million rubles from FBK, Navalny and the organization's lawyer Lyubov Sobol at the suit of the combine "Moscow schoolboy". The oppositionist stressed that the lawsuit is an episode of the fight against FBK, which was "instructed to execute" by businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin. Navalny explained that the organization will move to another legal entity and asked those who made regular donations to the organization to register them in a new account.
The decision to recover 88 million rubles from Navalny, Sobol and FBK in favor of the "Moscow Schoolboy" Food Factory was made by the court in October last year. The court found that the defendants had published information that defamed the plant.
The reason for making such a decision was the publication and video of FBK. They include a story of the woman introduced as Natalia Shilova, who in 2017 worked as a territorial manager at the Moscow Schoolboy. She told about unsanitary conditions at enterprises and spoiled or low-quality products that are supplied to Moscow schools and kindergartens. The woman also stated that the "Moscow schoolboy" belongs to Prigozhin's company "Concord". Later, Shilova posted on VKontakte that she was under pressure by the FBK and said the words that were written in the script.
"Concorde" has repeatedly stressed that Prigozhin is not connected with the "Moscow schoolboy".
