Adler Arena.
Adler Arena, the International Skating Center, is built in the shape of an oval stadium with 2 competitive and 1 training tracks. The stadium dimensions were approved by the International Skating Union. Ice tracks design involved ultra-modern technical calculations to improve chronometric performance of the athletes.
Shayba Ice Arena.
Same like Bolshoy Ice Dome, the small Shayba Ice Arena is one of the International Ice Hockey Federations' facilities. The venue is designed for 7000 seats. It will host Olympicice hockey and Paralympic sledge hockey events. The building structure is demountable. The name answers the purpose of the arena. It associates with the Russian sports yelling "Goal!" Iceberg Skating Palace has got one of the leading roles in the program of Sochi 2014 Olympic Games, whereby it was built it in the heart of the Olympic Park. The venue represents a collapsible structure with the possibility to remove and mount the Palace in other Russian cities. The arena was named "Iceberg" for its architectural form and identical pronunciation in Russian, English and German.
Ice Cube Curling Center.
The Ice Cube Curling Centeris located in the coastal area of the Olympic Park.The building is built in the most concise and classic style. It is a venue of collapsible type, which implies the possibility of dismantling and transportation in another city in Russia.
Bolshoy Ice Dome.
Bolshoy Ice Domeis part of the International Ice Hockey Federation facilities complex. The palace has hockey rinks built for both competition and training. The complex is designed for 12,000 seats. It is the only building of the Olympic camp with a dome roof. The concept is based on the shape of a frozen drop. After 2014 Winter Olympics, Bolshoy Ice Dome will be used as a multi-purpose facility for sporting and entertainment activities. On the one hand, arena's name emphasizes its architectural features, and on the other it works on the associative level, since for many foreigners Russia combines with the image of Bolshoi Theater.
Fisht Olympic Stadium.
The project of the Fisht Olympic Stadium provides a unique feature: while visiting the sporting events supporters can simultaneously observe the sea surface in the south and the mountains on the north. The structure has at its core a durable transparent film material and its shape resembles a rocky cliff, which harmoniously integrates into the Caucasus Mountains panorama. Besides arranging a maximum safety for supporters, athletes and staff, ecological factors that may have impact on the environment were taken into account during construction works. After 2014 Olympics, the Fisht Olympic Stadium will host matches of Russia national football team, public entertainment events and will be utilized as a sports training base.
