Suzdal lays in 40 km from Vladimir northwards, the little town of Sudogda, which is not mentioned in the traveller’s guides lays in 40 km as well, but to the south-east. The town is notable because of the outstanding beautiful Muromtsevo country estate, built in the Gothic style in the late 19th century, then turned into a forest research institute, which did not exist long, and then it was little by little ruined, and that must be also in the Gothic style. It is not very easy to reach and it is really ruined. The people fond of architecture and romantically-minded persons, welcome! But please, be careful.

	Instead of its name, this town has with Poland nothing to do. “Polsky” means here “Laying in the fields”, in contrast with another Yuryev which is in 80 km from Kiev. Yuryev-Polsky is an old Russian town and the administrative center of Yuryev-Polsky District of Vladimir Oblast, Russia, located in the upper reaches of the Koloksha River, 68 km northwest of Vladimir. It was founded by the same person whose name is associable with Moscow. Instead of Moscow, it was actually Yuri Dolgoruky, who founded Yuryev-Polsky in 1152. The Prince named the town in favorem of him. As it is obvious from the date, Yuryev-Polsky is one of the oldest towns in the central Russia.
