The Best Skating Rinks of St. Petersburg

There are skating rinks in almost all districts of St. Petersburg, but we have prepared a list of the most beautiful and comfortable ones.
 
DLT Skating Rink

This is the first rink in the history of a department store. It is located on the sixth floor. Under the garlands and historical clocks that used to hang above the Mecca’s central staircase, there are 400 square meters of artificial ice.
 
 
Working hours: from 10:30 to 21:30.
Cost of attendance: free of charge.
Skate rental: free of charge.
 
Ice Rink in New Holland

A large outdoor skating rink on the island of New Holland will work until March: the ice cover does not melt at temperatures up to +10 degrees. Its area is 2000 m2, it can accomodate 250 people at a time. The work time is divided into sessions,  one hour each, and  the area is cleaned to preserve the quality of the ice. Every Friday and Saturday from 23:00 to 00:00 a special night session in the silent disco format is introduced: the sessions are accompanied by dj-sets, and the use of wireless headphones allows visitors skating without breaking the “Law on Silence”. Please note that you have to pay 2,000 rubles for the rental of skates, and 3,000 rubles more for headphones.

11:00 – 21:00 Mon - Th
11:00 – 00:00 Fri - Sun and holidays

Cost of attendance:
Until 15:30, from Mon to Thu - 150 rubles; on Sat, Sun and holidays - 350 rubles
From 17:00, from Mon to Thu 250 rubles; on Sat, Sun and holidays - 450 rubles

Skate rental: 250 rubles

Rink by the sea


The main public space of this year, Sevkabel Port, will also have its own ice rink. The skating rink is located right on the embankment at the lighthouse.  Its area is 1,000 sq m. The ice here is real with the cooling system, there are locker rooms, storage rooms, “skater assistants”.

Opening hours (hourly sessions and  30-minute breaks):
 
Mon-Thu 11:00 - 21:00
Fri-Sat 11:00 - 00:00
Thu 11:00 - 22:30

Cost of attendance: Mon-Fri 11:00 - 13:30 - 100 rubles
Mon-Fri 14:00 - 16:30, Sat-Sun 11:00 - 12:00 - 200 rubles
Mon-Thu 17:00 - 21:00, Fri 17:00 - 19:30, Sat-Sun 14:00 - 15:00 - 250 rubles
Sat-Sun 15:30 - 18:00 - 300 rubles
Fri 20:00 - 00:00, Sat-Sun 18:30 - 22:30 - 400 rubles
Sat 23:00 - 00:00 - 450 rubles

Skate rental: 250 rubles.

Skating rink in  Kirov Park


An artificial ice rink was made on the territory of the summer rollerdrome. Its area is 800 square meters. 

Working hours: in total, the skating rink has four sessions a day: from 11:00 to 13:00, from 13:30 to 15:30, from 16:00 to 18:00 and from 18:30 to 20:30.

Cost of attendance: 250 rubles per session.

Skate rental: 200 rubles.
 
Forest Rink in Okhta Park

One of the most popular areas among St. Petersburg residents is to skate along the picturesque pine forest, the length of the route is 1.5 km. 

Working hours: Mon-Fri 11:00 - 22:30, Sat-Sun 09:00 - 22:30.

Cost of visit (without limitation of stay): 
Mon - Fri 550 rubles
Sat - Sun 750 rubles

Skate rental:
300 rubles (Mon - Fri), 550 rubles (Sat - Sun)

Skating rink with a deer farm in Lapland Park

It is a large skating rink next to the Krestovsky Island metro station  with a deer farm (animals can be fed with a moss tree, which is given out here), a cafe, slides and rental. 

Working hours:
Sun-Thu 11:00 - 22:00
Fri-Sat 11:00 - 23:00
 
Entrance tickets (give the right to visit the rink and deer farm for 1.5 hours):
Adults - 400 rubles; children - 300 rubles.

Skate rental:
Adults - 300 rubles; children - 200 rubles.

Skating rink in Moscow Victory Park

It is one of the most popular and oldest urban skating rinks, although the quality of ice and the hours of its work always depend on weather conditions.  

Working hours:
Mon - Fri 13:00 - 23:00
Sat - Sun 10:00 - 23:00

Cost per visit (no time limit):
Mon - Fri 250 rubles
Sat - Sun 300 rubles
 
Skate rental: 200 rubles (per hour)

Ice Arena "Grand Canyon Ice"

This large indoor skating rink works only on weekends, but there you can spend the whole night from Friday to Saturday or from Saturday to Sunday.

Working hours:
Sat-Sun 13:30 - 20: 45
Night skiing from 00:30 to 5:45
 
Cost of attendance:
During the day - 400 rubles per hour, at night - 500 rubles for the whole night.
 
Skate rental:
400 rubles per hour during the day, 500 rubles for the entire night session. 

Skating rink in the "Tauride Garden"

It is an indoor skating rink located in a large sports complex. On Friday and Saturday, you can skate here not only during the day, but at night. Hockey clubs and figure skating schools are also trained here, so the schedule of general sessions may vary and it is better to check with the official website before visiting.

08:15 - 15:30 Mon - Th
11:00 - 05:00 Fri
15:30 - 05:00 Sat
15:45 - 22:15 Sun
 
Cost of attendance:
Mon — Fri 450 rubles
Night sessions, sat - sun and holidays 500 rubles
 
Skate rental:
200 rubles a day, 400 rubles a night
