The experts named Russian cities with the cheapest hotels. The experts of the Aviasales Airline Ticket and Hotels Search Service have detected Russian cities with the cheapest hotels; St. Petersburg is at the top of the list.
Within the frame of the study, experts analyzed the cost of living in hotels in major cities of Russia, while hostels were not taken into account.
The leader of the budget ranking is St. Petersburg. The prices in the city hotels start at 513 roubles per person per night. It is noteworthy that the cheapest accommodation facilities are located in the city centre.
The second line was shared by four cities - Krasnoyarsk, Rostov-on-Don, Samara and Kazan. A day at a hotel in these cities costs at least 600 roubles per person; and the hotels themselves are located within 2-3 km from the main attractions.
You can stay without paying much money also in Perm - from 640 roubles per night.
Accommodation in hotels in Ufa will cost from 680 roubles.
Chelyabinsk closes the top five of budget destinations, with a night at a hotel costing from 700 roubles.
“A trip to Tyumen will be a little more expensive - from 714 roubles per night in a hotel near the historic centre of the city. However, Moscow ranked only seventh in the list of inexpensive routes. Accommodation cost at capital hotels starts at 799 roubles for a single room”, as J. Dzenis told.

You can stay in hotels in Nizhny Novgorod and Krasnodar that are a bit more expensive than in Moscow – accommodation there is available from 800 roubles. The cheapest hotel in Yekaterinburg will cost 900 roubles per day. In Omsk a tourist will have to pay at least 960 roubles for a room.
The expert reminded that you can use the Aviasales search engine to find a cheap hotel. You can choose a hotel by specifying the number of stars, type of accommodation and various amenities in the search filters.
