The Most Instagrammable Moscow Sights

The  Moskva City, Red Square, VDNKh and the Arbat are the most popular sights of the capital among users of the social network Instagram, the official portal of the mayor of Moscow reports. 

Over 4.13 million photos and videos were posted on Instagram with hashtags #RedSquare, #redsquare and #Kremlin.

Nikolskaya Street is located just near Red Square. The street became famous after the 2018 World Cup, since   the fans gathered there. Now musicians perform on the street and many cafes and restaurants work there. The number of photos with the hashtag #Nikolskaya on Instagram exceeds 80 thousand.

It is interesting that the Moskva City even surpassed Red Square in popularity, gaining over 4.8 million posts. The Moskva City is an office complex of almost 20 skyscrapers, the tallest of which is 374 meters high. The Moskva City has two observation platforms on the 89th and 56th floors.

The hashtag #vdnkh has more than 1.9 million publications. VDNKh regained the status of the main exhibition of the country. Visitors are attracted by museum exhibits, art fairs, theater performances, and in winter - a huge ice rink.

The top also includes photographs of the Arbat (840 thousand publications), the building of Moscow State University on the Sparrow Hills (about 800 thousand) and the Bolshoi Theater (333.5 thousand).

Besides, there are many photos of Tsaritsyno Park, where there are museums, concert halls and greenhouses. There are more than 641 thousand   publications. Kolomenskoye Park has been captured more than 391 thousand times, while the Izmailovo Museum Estate 330 thousand times.

Photos of Victory Park on Poklonnaya Hill (118 thousand posts) and the Arc de Triomphe, located in the middle of Kutuzovsky Prospekt in Moscow (55 thousand publications) appear on social networks  slightly less often.
