There are not so many places in Moscow where a rebellious rock and roll spirit reigns, however there are some excellent atmospheric rocker-style bars where you can have a great time and listen to your favorite songs. Find the list below.
1. Let’s Rock Bar
Kuznetsky Most metro station, Kuznetsky Most st., 4/3
The interior is stylish, and the walls are painted with cool drawings. The Rock music will satisfy any taste: Weezer, The Subways, Franz Ferdinand, Nickelback, Survivor and more. The bar has excellent cuisine, and themed parties are held in the evenings. On the official website they write: “... bold and free, all those who go against the rules are already with us! Rock is youth, truth and freedom, it is a force that can move mountains!”
Turgenevskaya metro station, Sretenka st., 1
Rock’n’Roll bar is decorated with old-school tattoos and portraits of rock musicians. The concept is similar to the previous bar: in the afternoon here is a calm atmosphere, and in the evenings (seven days a week) - parties. It can be a night of Russian rock, or the songs of Queen, Kiss, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd. There are also great DJ sets in Rock'n'roll. Salvation for those who can not stand the pathos clubs, but want to dance after a working day or on a weekend.
3. Hard Rock Cafe
Smolenskaya metro station, Arbat St., 44
The Moscow branch of the cult Hard Rock Cafe has been pleasing local music lovers for a long time. Traditional cocktails, legendary burgers, guitars and records of such masters of the rock scene as Bon Jovi, Motley Crue, Iggy Pop, Def Leppard, Paul Stanley and not only will not leave anyone indifferent. Every week, concerts are held on the stage of one of the three floors, and on Fridays and Saturdays you can light up at a disco or smoke a hookah.
4. Jagger Bar
Ulitsa 1905 goda metro station, Rochdelskaya ul., 15, 30
Jagger Bar can be found in the territory of the "Trekhgorny Manufactory", a rather rocky location. The place has an arcade, a billiard room, and a tattoo salon. Not only rock is played here: you can hear hip-hop, funk, and pop; but the general atmosphere is full of rock and roll.
5. Rolling Stone Bar
Kropotkinskaya metro station, Bolotnaya emb., 3, 1
On the walls of the bar you will see the large covers of the magazine of the same name. On Friday and Saturday nights, there are parties with songs of Nirvana, The Offspring, Blur, and many other famous rock hits. Sometimes a guest drummer plays along with a DJ's track. A pleasant moment: some good bands play in the club from time to time, and admission to such parties is free of charge, like on any other day. There are concerts of Mana Island and Tesla Boy.
6. Stay True Bar
Kitay-Gorod metro station , Slavyanskaya sq., 2/5/4, 3
The walls of the Stay True bar are also decorated with tattoo sketches, neon signs and drawings. Remarkable Menzo DJ’s are frequent guests of the bar, and here you can dance all night listening to cool rock remixes. The owners of the restaurant chose five famous drinkers and came up with 12 alcoholic beverages for each of them. Menu pages with a variety of cocktails were received by AC / DC vocalist Bon Scott, actor Humphrey Bogart, The Who drummer Keith Moon, The Doors band leader Jim Morrison and even a dancer Alexander Godunov.
