Wakesurfing is a type of classic surfing. The athlete also has a board  to catch the wave. And the wave is created by a towing boat  right in front of you. You get to the wave with the help of a tether, which is attached to the boat, then discard it and freely balance on the wave. Wakesurfing appeared in Russia about ten years ago, and only in 2016 it was included in the All-Russian register of sports. Here are some good spots to try wakesurfing in Moscow and the Moscow Region.

1. Wake People River Spot

Spot is located in a picturesque place on Lake Krugloye, just 18 kilometers from the Moscow Ring Road. There is a reversible winch and a park with wakeboard figures, sup-boards for rent and kits for games in sup-polo - that is, a fairly large selection of boards of all types and sizes, even for advanced riders. The rental price includes a wetsuit, vest, helmet and board rental.



2. RiverSurfMoscow

Address: Moscow region, city of Krasnogorsk, metro station Myakinino, 66 km of MKAD (on the territory of the Shore-house yacht club). Website: wakesurfclub.ru
Price: from 3,000 rubles for a 20-minute set.

The school is located on the territory of the Shore-house yacht club, not far from the Myakinino metro station. Students ride in the Stroginsky and Pavshinsky floodplain. The coaching staff advises booking in advance, as there are always a lot of people in the evening on weekdays and weekends. It is better to come with companies of no more than three or four people in order to learn as comfortably as possible. There are no age restrictions at RiverSurfMoscow: the youngest athlete at school is 7 years old, the oldest is over 70.

3. Endless Summer

4. Moscow Wake School

The owner of the boats, together with a friend, instruct and ride visitors on a wakeboard and wakesurf. The cost  includes the rental of new wetsuits and board shorts.

5. Malibu

Cozy floating base with shower, toilet, wood-fired bath and a spacious chillout on the second floor. Trainers are sure that the size of the boat determines the impression of riding: the larger the boat, according to them, the steeper its wave for wakeboarding and wakesurfing. That is why the school has the largest boats in Moscow and specialized boats for wakeboard and wakesurfing.

6. Wake Home

One of the oldest wake clubs in Moscow, Wake Home has been operating on Myakininsky Highway since 1998. The club has a well-maintained infrastructure: parking, hot shower and dressing room, and a restaurant. At the rental point you will be given a wetsuit, helmet, life jacket, surfboard or board - everything is included in the price of skiing.
