Here is the rating of the beaches of the city of Kazan. You will get acquainted with the most popular beaches in the city, find out where you can swim in Kazan in the summer or how to get to a wild vacation or a recreation center with a beach on the Volga in its vicinity.

The unusual location of Kazan will be envied by many cities: on the left bank of the Volga and not far from the confluence of the Kama. This played a huge role not only in the history of the city. The combination of the two large famous rivers of Russia and the historically and culturally rich city is a tempting tourist attraction. This is confirmed by numerous reviews from guests of the city.

More than 3 million people visit Kazan annually, and many of those who come in the summer are looking forward to meeting the beautiful Volga with impatience and great interest.

The availability of other water reservoirs expands the possibility for swimming: the Kazanka River, the left tributary of the Volga; small picturesque lakes Emerald, Komsomolskoye and Lebyazhye within the city, as well as city ponds and canals.

Admirers of sandy beaches and parents with toddlers will be pleased: in Kazan and its environs, the shores of many reservoirs boast of good river sand, without small pebbles, and many of them have a gentle entrance to the water. Exceptions are found, but very rare.

Overview of the beaches of Kazan

Some of the beaches are located in the central part of the city, and getting to them is not difficult. The rest belong to the closest surroundings.

Lokomotiv Beach

The most popular beach is located behind the Kazan Passenger Train Station, not reaching the River Station. Guests of the city rush here to swim in the famous Russian Volga River, and the locals - because it is close.

The sand is good and clean. There are stationary metal changing rooms, showers, toilets and one canopy on the shore, so you should take your sun protection.

Beach on the lake Komsomolskoe

In the microdistrict of Derbyshki in the north-east of Kazan, between the high-rises and the forest park Birch Grove, Komsomolskoe Lake is located. It is almost completely surrounded by trees that come close to the water. At the same time, the equipped sandy beach is open to the sun, and the forest provides an opportunity to hide from it or take a walk.

On the shore for vacationers, sun loungers, changing rooms, showers, toilets and a canopy from the sun are available. Benches were installed, a children's town with a sandbox, and a workout area is located at the entrance. The safety of vacationers is watched by police and rescuers. There is no cafe nearby.

Riviera Beach

The popularity of this place is deserved for the wide range of services of the 4-star hotel of the same name with a water park and their convenient location in the city center.

The beach is like an open-air water park, as it is a fully equipped recreation area with a pool. It was made not far from the Kazanka River, from where excellent views of the historic city center and the Kremlin open. For relaxation under the sun there is everything you need - sunbeds,   changing rooms, lockers, showers and bathrooms.

The amenities of the summer zone are not free. The cost of a visit depends on the time of day, the quantity of hours, the day of the week, the age of the guest and varies from 150 to 890 rubles per person. If you want additional entertainment, then they are very close: in addition to the water park and the hotel, there are a cinema, a karaoke bar, a spa complex and a contact zoo in the recreation complex.

Kama Sea Beach in Laishevo

Equipped in the style of a seaside resort, the beach of Laishevo became a real hit, despite the greater distance from Kazan - 60 km. The recreation area received a symbolic name for the extended Kama spill, reminiscent of the sea: its width is more than 40 km. The 900 m long beach is divided into wild pebble and sand. Convenient wooden walkways are laid along the coast, allowing you not to get stuck in the sand. The entrance to the sea is gentle. With the onset of heat, the water warms up quickly.

Infrastructure is functioning properly: rental of sun loungers, free toilets, lighting. There is an outdoor shower and changing rooms. Separate leisure and entertainment areas have been created for children and adults. There are several cafes and mobile stalls on the beach.

Lebyazhye Lakes  Beach

A chain of three lakes   stretches in the vicinity of the city in the west. Access to them goes along the Gorky highway, from the city center the distance is only 11 km. Big and Small lakes have their own beaches with grassy and sandy areas.  The beach is allowed for swimming, because by the 2020 season the coastal part was updated: they put unusual sunbeds, set picnic tables and showers. A traditional snack place in the area is the barbecue on the other side of the highway.
