The State Hermitage Museum

Top attractions of the world have been listed.

Based on views and opinions TripAdvisor travel site announced the winners of 2013 Travelers’ Choice Attractions award. The selection criterion was the number of positive reviews of one or another attraction from each category.

There were 1263 historical and architectural landmarks included in the winners list. Winners are found in 39 countries around the world including regional lists for Africa, Asia, Australia, the Caribbean, Central America, China, Europe, India, Mexico, the Middle East, South America, the South Pacific, and the United States.

Among best ones there are 6 museums from Moscow: Kremlin Armory; Tretyakov gallery on Lavrushenskiy walk; Diamond Fund; Tretyakov gallery on Krymskiy Val street; Pushkin Museum; Kolomenskoye Historical and Architectural Museum and Reserve; Red Square and Saint Basil's Cathedral. 

Besides that, worlds’ top 10 includes Church of the Savior on Blood (S-Petersburg); Peterhof Palace (S-Peterburg) and Mamayev Kurgan (Volgograd), Suzdal Kremlin, Yusupov Palace and Kazan Cathedral of Saint-Petersburg as well as Kremlin of Kazan. Church of the Savior on Blood of Saint-Petersburg was ranked 7-th leaving behind such landmark as St. Peter's Basilica of Vatican.

The State Hermitage Museum and Winter Palace were appreciated as the best in Russia, Europe and the whole world.
