Bashkortostan Wins Hearts Of Foreign Journalists
July 26, 2013 23:39

Bashkortostan

Tourism Agency of Bashkortostan  initiated a route for international media representatives. Foreign journalists visited popular tourist attractions in Kugarchinsky, Kuyurgazinsky and Burzyansky districts of Bashkortostan.

The group of journalists from Xinhua News Agency (PRC), “Berliner Zeitung” (Germany), “Le Figaro” (France), “Le Temps” (Switzerland) and “Russia Beyond the Headlines” international project of “Rossiyskaya Gazeta” have visited Muradymovskoye Ravine, “Bashkir Village” tourist base and Yumaguzino Reservoir.

Also they succeeded rafting down the Belaya River and visiting natural reserve and cave of Shulgan Tash.  The trip was accomplished after meeting with Rustem Khamitov, the President of Bashkortostan.

Christian Ash of “Berliner Zeitung” has noted: “The beauty of nature, aspects of Bashkir heroic poems and Bashkir honey are really interesting, but the most significant thing are people.  I believe you shouldn’t expect a large tourist flow in the near future, but there are two traveler categories from Europe who could be attracted: the youth interested in Russia and curious retirees”.

Hu Xyaoguang, the deputy director of Xinhua News Agency stated: “For us such kind of trips are real opportunities to discover Russia. Bashkortostan is unknown land for Chinese people. Even me, I’m here for the first time. But now, especially with regards to holding in Ufa SCO and BRICS summits, we can deliver to Chinese public information concerning the Republic, about its potential and people”.

Ricardo Marquina, photojournalist from “Russia Beyond the Headlines” reported: “It’s my 3-d time here in Bashkortostan and each time this Republic uncovers new verges. I mean folk celebrations, “Big Chemistry” forum and now tourist bases, caves, mountains, rivers and lakes. Bashkortostan will stay with me for long – this time I’ve got plenty of honey”.
