Action "Night in the Museum" will take place on May, 14/15th night to make collections and exhibitions available for everybody, who is too busy on weekdays and too tired on weekends, who cannot stay kilometer-long lines trying to get to popular exhibitions. Different museums and galleries will have their doors open till 24.00, 2.00 and even 6.00 that night and public transport will follow from one museum to another on special routes, a concert will be given at Kropotkinskaya metro station.

In Moscow, 160 museums and galleries will take part in the event. Not less than half a million people will visit night exhibitions and concerts this weekend. Entrance into most part of museums will be free except Historical Museum and few others. Most museums will be open till 24.00, some federal museums - till 23.00. Private galleries will glad to see visitors till 2.00 and 6.00.

6 objects will be central playgrounds of Museum Night where concerts, master-classes and other actions will take place. They are Proviantskiye Sklady (19th century Proviant depots), Tsaritsyno park, exhibition center Rabochiy i Kolkhoznitsa (Worker and Kolkhoz Woman), Kuskovo estate, exhibition hall "New Manez", museum-panorama "Borodino battle".

What about transportation in the night Moscow, three special bus routes will be organized to take the people from one exhibition to another. The first one will connect museums along Savoyard Ring, second - museums of Moscow south-west and third - all the museums-estates of Moscow. It is promised that buses will go every 10-20 minutes. What about Moscow metro, it will close as usually about 1.00. After that, metro station of Kropotkinskaya (near Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts and God the Savior Cathedral) will be turned into a concert hall. At 2.00 chamber orchestra Kremlin will give a concert be devoted to 76th anniversary of opening Moscow underground, fit with the Museum night this year. Tickets for this event were drawn on Moscow metro website, because amount of people who wanted to listen chamber music in metro was too large even for station's space.

Kuskovo country estate will offer concerts of special park music of 19-20th century, then will sing the soloists of Moscow Operetta theater, trio "Relict" will complete the program. Music fans who will stay in Kuskovo park a little longer will be able to hear nightingales singing.

State Tretiakov Gallery will work till midnight. While halls of building in Lavrushinsky lane will be available for public eager to see Russian art of 11-early 20th century, department of Contemporary Art at Krymsky Val will represent one new special project of contemporary artists. Their works will be exhibited in halls of all 4 stores and some performances will happen.

Museum Night takes place in Moscow for the fifth time. Many people will finally get to exhibitions they dreamed to visit but could not because of business.
