“The Water Area of Summer” (“Akvatoriya Leta” in Russian) is quite a well-known brand, especially among young people. This is the name of a summer hotel in Yeisk, on the Azov Sea, where an accommodation package includes a unique proposal: sports training.
Because the Yeiskaya Spit is well suited for windsurfing, kiteboarding and wakeboarding, local instructors offer to master these sports first of all. So, it is a kind of a sports camp, where a person of any age feels free. A branch of “The Water Area” in Zavidovo is yet inferior to its big brother in its scale. This is a small territory on the bank of the Ivankovo Water Reservoir with a small storage area for equipment and a temporary café. But you can learn exactly the same sports like in Yeisk - windsurfing, kiteboarding, wakeboarding. There are also a rock-climbing wall and a trampoline.
The hotel in Yeisk is open from May to September, and the one in Zavidovo is practically a year-round resort, except for short breaks during offseason period. You can do the same sports in Zavidovo in winter, only in their seasonal version – on sledge runners and skis: iceboarding (winter windsurfing), snowkiting (winter kiteboarding), winter wakeboarding (on skis or snowboards). A rock-climbing wall and trampoline are open, a large wooden slide with a trampoline at the entrance and an inflatable pillow nearby is built in the vicinity. You can ride from this slide on inflatable sleds. It is also well-suited to train snowboarding tricks with a soft and safe landing. The skating rink is not poured intentionally, but it is not necessary - the frozen water reservoir and a small creek nearby have a perfect cover. There is a large choice of skates.
The Leisure Centre is open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The prices on weekdays are lower than during weekend. Morning hours cost cheaper than those in the evening. For example, the most budgetary option of a snowkiting training costs 1600 roubles for 2 hours on weekdays. And the same training at the weekend will cost 3850 roubles. The rental centre of “The Water Area of Summer” offers all kinds of equipment from a helmet to a harness.
