In recent years the museums of exotic butterflies have appeared almost in all major Russian cities. And it is grounded, as the nature does not spoil us with bright vivid colors and it would be desirable to look at its wonders. For this purpose there is a "Tropical Paradise" in St. Petersburg, it is a museum where you can see the birth of a butterfly, feed it and buy it. The museum has become popular when it was open in the central part of the city. Now it is moved to Kupchino, in "Continent" Shopping and Entertainment Mall at the metro "Bucharestskaya".

Terms of butterflies’ life meet the scientific recommendations. The museum was created under the management of academic entomologist. Employees of "Tropical Paradise" consider the environmental mission to be principle to create a chemistry where an inhabitant of northern metropolis will feel some unity with nature, without prejudice to it.

The museum formulates its tasks as follows:
- acquaintance of people with nature of tropical countries; manifestation of love for nature through the communication with the butterflies;
- development of family leisure culture;
- development of children’s crafts: children drawing contest, master-classes in various techniques of painting;
- creating of positive emotions and physiological withdrawal of cathexis.

They also arrange free charity excursions for foster children from children’s communities and handicapped children. In museum you may order carrying out of children’s or adult’s party and wedding ceremony.

Show of Butterfly Birth begins every day at 11:30a.m. and at 18:30 p.m. Ticket’s cost is RUB 350.00 for adult and RUB 200.00 for children (from 3 to 14 years old). It is free for children under 3 years old. Video and photographing to own equipment is free.
