The Kulikovo Field State Museum Reserve (Tula Region)  prepared two new tourist routes - the Orthodox and the gastronomic, the press secretary of the museum, Lyubov Kotikova reports.

"The cultural and educational route "Kulikovo Field: Spiritual Origins" will allow you looking at the First Military Field of Russia as a unique territory with unique natural and historical-cultural monuments, features of traditional life and way of life," Kotikova said.

The program of a one-day trip along with an examination of the Museum of Merchant Life in Epifani, the oldest memorials in the village of Monastyrshchino and on Red Hill, the historical exhibition "Don. The whole story on the banks of one river" includes a visit to the three sacred places of the Kulikovo Field. This is the birthplace of the Matrona of Moscow in the village of Sebino, the holy springs on the Forgiven well and in the village of Orlovka, associated with legends about the history of the Battle of Kulikovo.

As part of the Kulikovo Field gastronomic route, one can not only visit museums, but also learn about the originality of local products and the secrets of traditional recipes.

So, tourists in Epifani will take part in the merchant interactive excursion with tea drinking. In Monastyrshchino they will compete in kindling of samovars and baking pancakes on stumps. The museum complex "Kulikovo Field" in Mokhovoy offers four culinary programs. You can end the trip by getting acquainted with ceremonial cuisine, tasting medieval dishes and understanding the traditions of lean dishes of different eras and peoples.

The Kulikovo Field Museum Reserve is located 120 km from Tula, on the site of the Battle of Kulikovo  (1380). It includes the territory of the Kimovsky and Kurkinsky districts of the region.
