The ski resort Krasnaya Polyana is located at a height of 550 metres above sea level, 45 kilometres distant from Adler. It is quite a new and rapidly developing resort that has skiing slopes of various difficulty categories which can cause interest in both ski beginners and professionals. Besides, it is a unique and ecologically clean place. The resort settlement is surrounded with rock masses intertwined with a great number of clean rivers.

A holiday in Krasnaya Polyana is good for both human health and soul. The weather in Krasnaya Polyana is almost always excellent and the climate here is rather warm and is milder than in Sochi. Rest in Krasnaya Polyana is particularly recommended to sportsmen and people with lung diseases – mountain air and mineral water can work miracles. The nature in these places is sub-Alpine, that is why Krasnaya Polyana is often deservedly called “Russian Switzerland”.

The slopes of Krasnaya Polyana are totally non-avalanche-hazardous. Constant presence of rescuers, separated slopes for skiers, snowboarders, bobsleighers, and snowbladers contribute in maintaining high safety level of the resort.

The resort also has one of the best in Russia ski rent (400 sets): tourists are offered the most modern models of skis, snowboards, and snowblades. Tourists can also use the services of ski trainers. Krasnaya Polyana teems with multiple bars, cafes, and restaurants. Here the highest mountain bar in Russia is situated at a height of 1144 metres above sea level. Tourists also have an opportunity to attend Russian steam bath. Besides, Krasnaya Polyana offers various excursions, including helicopter flights. At weekends snow shows are organized at the resort.

Krasnaya Polyana is turning into a centre of active rest with a developing leisure industry. It provides opportunities for horseracing, rafting, paraplane sports, mountain climbing, and ecological tourism. The resort can be called an ideal place for a holiday in winter and spring. Amongst the few minuses of the resort are quite frequent thaws, rain probability, and moist and heavy snow in spring (April-May).
