April 26, 2013 09:56

A Ferris wheel will appear near the Moscow Circus. The highest in the world Ferris wheel will be placed at the southwest of Moscow.

The location project of the ride in the park of 40 years of All-Union Leninist Young Communist League has got preliminary authorities support. Before the authorities were considering three variants of Ferris wheel location with the height of 220 and with capstan of 275 meters: the Gorky Park, the All-Russia Exhibition Centre and the park of 40 years of All-Union Leninist Young Communist League. But later the authorities decided that Gorky Park is not appropriate as there are too little stalls. Besides, now it is more for a calm rest. And there is a Ferris wheel «Moscow 850» at the All-Russia Exhibition Centre.

Now the project is under development. The Ferris wheel and a multifunctional complex will be made in the form of wedding rings. In the horizontal ring there will be a concert hall, conference hall, gallery, cinema, skating-rink, swimming pool and hothouse. Apart from this there will be a registry office with a wedding hall. The horizontal ring will remain in the air at the height of 12 m, that will allow to preserve the park vegetation. Besides, in the park there will be fountains and artificial water structures with total area of 1,2 thousand square meters. The Ferris wheel construction will start not earlier than in two years. It should be ready till the football world championship of the 2018.
