The Sochi circuit is a unique sports facility in Russia. This is the newest race track in Eastern Europe, developed in 2010 with the latest technology.
The 5848-meter track simulates extremely difficult road conditions with long (over 650 meters) bends and a canvas with a negative slope. Modern quality has allowed this circuit to become the host of the Formula 1 Grand Prix races.
The track was completed in September 2014 and already in October of that year, Formula 1 racers were given the opportunity to test it in the first race.
Sochi Autodrom is located in the Adler Olympic Park.
Sochi Autodrom: Stands
Main Stand
It is located near the start line. From there you can see the opening ceremony of the races, the general start, the excitement of the pilots passing the first turn and the honed skill of the teams during pit stops. And of course the winner at the finish! From the upper, fourth level of the rostrum there is a panoramic view of the circuit.
Stand T1
It is located on the first turn in the immediate vicinity of the Main Stand. The starting lane, the 1st, 2nd, 12th, 13th and 14th turns are clearly visible there, as well as a section of the route where racers accelerate their cars to 300 km / h.
Stand T2 (named after Vitaly Petrov)
It is located near the Medal Square. If you are a fan of extreme sports, it is better to choose this stand. Here you can observe the virtuoso skills of athletes - at a speed of about 340 km / h they need to sharply brake their car before entering the second, the coolest turn on the entire track!
Stand T3 (named after Daniel Kvyat)
The tribune closest to the race track got its name in honor of the young Russian race car driver, the GP3 series champion Daniel Kvyat. Here you can observe the long bend that racers pass on their cars, going around the loop of the Olympic Park.
Stand T4
Watching the race from this stand, you will be able to witness the most acute moments - how the participants get out of the 3rd turn and go into the 4th and 5th. Also from here you can see a magnificent panorama of the sea and the entire Olympic complex.
Free zone
In the space around the ice palace building there is a zone for free placement without fixed sits. From here, the 4th, 5th and 6th turns of the track are clearly visible. In addition, buying tickets to this zone, you get the opportunity to get to the concerts held on the central square of the Olympic Park.
All the stands of the Autodrom are equipped with huge video screens broadcasting what is happening on the highway. Professional racing commentators of the highest level work at the races. Purchased tickets (except the free zone) allow you walking along the pit lane during the organized time.
