The teams set forth on a journey. The journey to the museums of Kirillovsky District began. The “Museums of Kirillovsky District” project was first presented to the local residents last year.
The call to take part in it in November 2012 was answered by the eight teams consisting of students, people working in a team and the whole families. The majority of them successfully observed the proposed rules, and their journey to the district museums lasted until up to its summarizing in May 2013.
The new start of the project was announced on last Sunday, according to the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve. “The applications for participation were submitted by the eight teams” – the project curator Evgenii Kivelev said. – “Two of them came from the Goritskaya secondary school, three from the Kirillovskaya secondary school, one from the Vologda Regional College plus two teams that already participated in the project last year.
The rules of the project in comparison with the last year have not changed. From November 2013 to May 2014 the teams will visit the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve, The Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery, a fortified ensemble built in the 15th and the 16th centuries, the Dionysius Museum of Frescoes, the History Museum of the city and the district, the Museums of Kirillovskaya Accordion and of the Hero of the Soviet Union E.N. Preobrazhensky in the village Volokoslavinskoe, the House of Bread and the Art Gallery in Talitsy, the Museum Area “Native Old Times” in Sukhoverkhovo, the National Park “Russian North”. The participants will see a variety of interesting programs. They will be able to take part in the lessons of the masters of folk crafts. Each team is given its own route displayed in a special magazine called “Journey Chronicle”. It will be used by the participants to leave a detailed description of their visits to museums, starting with their own impressions and ending with the execution of the proposed tasks.
Of course, the teams will not only get acquainted with the history of their native land during the journey, but they will also earn the points the number of which will determine the winner of the project next spring.
