State Support For Primorye Tourism
August 12, 2014 15:35

Primorye travel companies receive state support within the framework of the law “On tourism and tourism activity in the Primorsky Territory” adopted by the regional parliamentarians. This helps to create, develop and unite unique objects in clusters, as the press service of the Legislative Assembly of Primorsky Territory reported to “Data” Information Agency.

According to the deputy Sergei Ishchenko, the created legal framework has borne fruit. “Tourism is stated as a priority of the economy of Primorye. This will eventually significantly replenish the regional budget. We worked proactively: the federal law on the development of tourism was only under consideration, when the regional bill was already on the final straight” - the deputy stressed.

According to the Department of International Cooperation and Tourism Development of Primorsky Territory, the main mechanism for the formation of complexes is the cluster approach. Creation of a new cluster is scheduled on the territory of Shkotovsky District with the centre of tourist attraction - the Pidan Mountain.

A historical-archaeological park “Izumrudnaya Valley” already operates in the suburbs of Ussuriysk near the Utesnoe village representing the history of the Far East, recreating the historical everyday life, showing ancient monuments. It is planned to create the ecological park “The World of Birds” in Mikhailovsky District, the recreational ecological campsite near Lotosovoe Lake, and the cultural and recreational centre “Cossack village”.

The objects of the national park “The Udegei Legend” are located on the territory of Pozharsky, Terneisky and Krasnoarmeysky Districts. There are more than 40 registered archaeological monuments, the remains of the northern capital of the medieval state of Jurchen are located here. More than 25 routes going through the most attractive places of the national park are already in force. A unique ethnographic object of Pozharsky District is the village of Krasny Yar - one of the largest national villages of the Territory, where the Nanai and the Udegei live, where you can immerse into their everyday life, get acquainted with the customs and traditions of the indigenous minorities of the Primorsky Territory.

It is also noted that fishing on the rivers Amgu and Bikin traditionally attracts tourists. The financing of the state program “Development of Tourism in Primorsky Territory in the years 2013-2017” will make up more than 34 billion rubles.
