The Tourist and Information Centre of the Republic of Ingushetia presents “Tea Express” which is a novelty for Russian tourism.
A journey by the “Tea Express” through the Caucasian section of the Silk Road will last 6 days, the voyage starts in Sochi on April 23, 2015 at 9 p.m. The excursion program is rich and diverse. Six days include the five regions of the North Caucasus: the excursion to Cherkessk (Karachay-Cherkessia), a trip to the Targimskaya hollow (Ingushetia) famous for its ancient towers and castles, a guided tour of the night Grozny (Chechnya), then the fortress of Naryn-Kala in Derbent (Dagestan) with a history of several thousand years; and the journey is closed by a trip to the wellness centre in Mineralnye Vody (Stavropol Territory). You will go by a deluxe train consisting of nine carriages with enhanced comfort. You will enjoy the mountains and the healthy air of the Caucasian region, thermal mineral springs, the entire range of national dishes and legendary Caucasian hospitality.
At daytime you will be busy with the excursions to the cities, mountains, ancient castles, walks and shopping; the evenings will contain unforgettable entertainment, concerts with national zest and dinners being a real treat for gourmets, as well as rest on the train and talks with a cup of Chinese tea from the manufacturers whose ancestors were carrying tea through the Caucasian section of the Silk Road.
Breakfasts will be served on the train, while lunches and dinners with a rich cultural program, being one of the most pleasant surprises of the trip, will be organized by the best restaurants of the North Caucasus. The journey will be finished in the morning of April 28 in Sochi.
The route will be regular, quarterly trips are planned.
