Tula Oblast is included in the new mobile application "Journey to Russia", which will allow tourists to get all the necessary information about the region, its sights and infrastructure, the press service of the oblast government reported.

New app for iOS: TopTripTip – “Travel Russia” (http://toptriptip.com) was developed by Appreal (Moscow). Currently the application is presented in 28 Russian regions, Interfax reported. Travelers will get interesting facts about the area, tips, stories, legends, colorful photo galleries and in some regions the audio tours.

The purpose of creating TopTripTip mobile application is pooling of information for tourists traveling to Russia in a single digital product. The application shares the actual data about the places and safe routes, showing specific examples of Russia's incredible tourist potential. Information support for the project was provided by Rosturizm, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Russian Union of Travel Industry and the National Association of Information and tourist organizations.

Among the advantages of mobile application is access to information even without Internet; constantly updated content; publication of objects rating based on the total number of user "likes"; recommendations and various filtration systems to simplify the process of selection of places to visit. Also, most of the objects in the application contain unique cross-links by clicking on which they can select what sites to see while walking in the park or staying in the hotel. For those who come to Russia from other countries all the information is presented in English.

The original texts are not just literally translated, but re-prepared and adapted by native speakers. Earlier it was reported that in 2014 the Tula Oblast is going to host about 2 million tourists. The main attractions of the region are Yasnaya Polyana, Kulikovo Field and Polenovo reserve museums, Tula Kremlin Museum as well as the museums of weapons, samovars and gingerbread.
