Culture Of the Cossacks Will Be SHown In Karachay-Cherkessia

First in Karachay-Cherkessia ethnographic and cultural complex, showing the history and culture of the Cossacks will be built in Urup region of the Republic.

"Recreational ethnographic complex "Cossack Valley" will include Cossack farmstead, where stylized Cossack hut (houses) will be located, a mill, a church, forge works, saddlery and other workshops where visitors can get acquainted with traditional Cossack handicrafts", - the Deputy Minister of Resorts Tourism and Youth Policy in Karachay-Cherkessia, Pavel Selipetov, told to Interfax Tourism agency.

Moreover, according to him, there will be hotels, stylized ancient Cossack houses, shopping arcades for tourists, as well as  a center of trick riding and even a runway for small aircraft in the ethnographic complex. In addition, the "Cossack Valley" will open a museum of history and culture of the Cossacks, where the demonstration is planned, including ancient artifacts preserved in Cossack families of Urup area.

The whole area of ethnic and cultural complex will take about 5 hectares. The district authorities have already allocated a suitable plot of land. Full implementation of the project is scheduled in phases during 2017-2020.
