Cars Of New Generation Will Appear In Moscow Metro

The Moscow Metro in 2017 will receive 192 cars of new generation to be equipped with the USB-plugs and air-conditioning as well as disinfection systems, the press service of the subway reported on Saturday.
"During 2017, renovation of rolling stock is carried out in Moscow subway. 24 improved eight-car trains “Moscow” of a new generation will be put into operation", - said in a statement. According to the press service, in January, the Moscow Metro in conjunction with "Metrovagonmash" will start testing the new train of the 765th series. The total volume of deliveries in the years of 2017-2020 will amount to 768 cars – 96 trains.
The train of a new generation has been called "Moscow". It has been elected via portal "Active Citizen". Quarterly subway will receive 48 new cars. They will replace the rolling stock on the busiest line of Moscow Metro – Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line. 765th Series Trains are by 15% more spacious than the previous model of trains. They are able to carry up to 2 thousand people. For the convenience of passengers the doorways were enlarged to 1.4 meters, and the pass-through was arranged between the cars all over the train.
