January 14, 2018 15:09

A new route for snowmobile trips to the Manpupuner Plateau - the seventh miracle of Russia located on the territory of the Pechoro-Ilychsky Biosphere Reserve in the Republic of Komi - will open for tourists in 2018.

The length of the route makes up 300 kilometers. This distance can be covered on snowmobiles in three to four days. Overnight stays for travelers are provided in the hotel on the Shezhim-Pechorsky Cordon and on the plateau itself.

The routes from the Komi Republic, from Komsomolsk-on-Pechora, are planned once a week for groups of ten people, on own snowmobiles, accompanied by an instructor-conductor from the Reserve.

A tour with two overnight stays will take four days. In addition, winter helicopter tours to the plateau are also scheduled. Earlier such trips were organized only from June to September, as the Head of the Reserve told.
