Gastronomic Festivals for FIFA Fans

 Gastronomic festivals will be held from June 14 to July 15 in all 11 cities where the games of the World Cup 2018 are to be held.

“Within the framework of gastronomic festivals football fans will have the chance to try Mordovian pancakes called “pachat” in Saransk; crayfish, and dishes made of river fish on the embankments of Samara and Rostov-on-Don; crispy smelt and hot donuts in St. Petersburg; fragrant sprats on Borodinsky bread with Klops in Kaliningrad; shish kebab, chebureki (meat pastry) and fried surmullet in Sochi; echpochmaks, festive “zur balesh” in Kazan and many things more” - the press service quotes the Head of the Department Oleg Safonov.

As the Federal Tourism Agency specified, the festivals will familiarize the football fans with local food products and the famous dishes of national cuisine, tell them about the capabilities of the constituent entities of Russia in the field of gastronomic tourism. All festivals will be united under a single federal brand: “Gastronomic Map of Russia”.
