“Azimuth” Airline Company outcompeted “Pobeda” airlines in the ranking of the most low-cost carriers for travels around Russia with flights departing from Moscow.
The most affordable fares for traveling around Russia from the capital have been offered by Azimuth, UTair, Pobeda, Nordwind Airlines and Nordavia. An average ticket price without additional services made up 11.6 thousand roubles. The leadership of Azimuth is due to a limited route network of flights from Moscow and the carrier’s desire to take a share of the market.
At the same time, the cheapest tickets for flights from Moscow to Europe are most often offered by Smart Wings, airBalric, Czech Airlines, Air France, Pobeda and Turkish Airlines. An average cost of a flight without additional services is 21,500 roubles.
It is noteworthy that almost all carriers, except Turkish Airlines, demand to pay extra money for luggage and choice of seats on the plane at the cheapest fares. Together with additional payments, an average ticket price is 8% higher - 23.3 thousand roubles.
