Visa-free Entry to Russia for FIFA World Cup 2018 Fans

Visa-free entry will start to operate for fans of the World Cup in 2018 in Russia on Monday, as the press service of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of Russia stated.

“Based on the fan’s passports, foreign citizens and stateless persons can use the right of multiple visa-free entry to the territory of the Russian Federation. The entry is possible from the 12 a.m. of June 4 to 11:59 p.m. of July 15, 2018, the departure is possible from 11:59 p.m. of June 4 to 11:59 p.m. of July 25, 2018 (local time)”, according to the message.

The entry is possible both by the version of a laminated form and an electronic printed form of fan’s passports: it is enough to present the Fan ID on the passport check-point. To pass to the stadium, the spectators must present the fan’s passport on the laminated form, alongside with the ticket for the match. The foreign spectators who enter the territory of the Russian Federation by an electronic form of the fan’s passport will have to apply to one of the Fan ID issuing centres in Russia and receive a laminated form.

Before the matches of the World Cup 2018, additional support points for fan’s passports will be open near the stadiums. The Organizing Committee of the World Cup 2018 specifies that support points for fans will work in the airports of the cities hosting the championship and in eight automobile check-points across the state border of the Russian Federation in Leningrad and Kaliningrad regions; in Moscow such points will be located at Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo airports. In addition, in accordance with the intergovernmental agreement, a visa-free transit entry of fans through Belarus will be granted on the basis of fan’s passports.
