Rosa Khutor Resort in Sochi is Ready for Ski Season

The Rosa Khutor ski resort in Sochi will open the winter season on December 20, prices for ski passes and other services will remain the same.

"The summer season continues at the resort until the beginning of November. The start of the winter season 2019/2020 is scheduled for December 20. At the same time, prices for ski passes and other services of Rosa Khutor will remain at the same level, but the quality of service will increase," the   the resort’s press service says.

They note that this season for the first time there will be a single ski pass for all four resorts of Krasnaya Polyana, which will allow guests   using about 160 kilometers of tracks for skiing.

Also this winter the guest information system will be modernized: more than 50 video cameras will be installed at the resort, which will broadcast via cable TV in the Rosa Khutor hotels and in the mobile application the ski lifts loading, the state of the slopes, as well as weather information, and entertainment schedule.

Test runs are planned to be opened with stable snow cover already in November. After the preventive maintenance, all lifts, including Olimpia, will be restarted. During the summer and autumn months, the resort carried out work to improve the ski area. Special programs "Dawn on the track"( from 6:30 in the morning), "Early Opening" (from 7:30), "Skating under the Stars" (from 19:00 to 23:00) will provide guests with the longest skiing period during the day among all the mountain resorts in Sochi. On December 28 and every weekend at the resort it will be possible to go through Rosa MegaKvest - these are 18 games, including 12 moving, intellectual and creative tasks, its winners will receive additional points on the loyalty card.

In addition, the Rosa Khutor alpine skiing and snowboard school will open educational camps lasting for three or five days, where they will teach adults and children how to ski. More experienced skiers will be able to go through a special paid course for passing sports tracks.

In addition to skiing and snowboarding in Rosa Khutor, the resort's guests will also be offered other leisure options: a family ice rink, a trampoline park, a climbing wall, a dry water park, a children's labyrinth, an educational and multimedia area for children, etc. The Museum of Archeology will organize educational programs and master classes for visitors. Rodelban, tubing, alpine swings, and paragliders will also continue to operate. Tourists will be able to ride a sleigh toboggan and try dog sledding. This winter it is planned to launch 15-40-minute helicopter excursions with an overview of the picturesque surroundings of the resort.

In December, at the resort of the Mountain Olympic Village, the Rosa Ski Inn Deluxe Hotel 4* will open.

The main sporting event of the winter season at the resort will be the FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup for Women, scheduled for February 1-2, 2020.

There will also be several musical events, including the Live Fest-2020 festival, and the Tinkoff Rosafest - the Game 2020 youth festival. From February 28 to March 1, the AFP Winter Edition 2020 music festival will take place, and from March 27 to April 5, the largest sports and music festival in Russia Quiksilver New Star Camp event will be held. In April, the BoogelWoogel Carnival will traditionally be organized at the resort.
