Riverbus: Moscow Sightseeing without Traffic Jams

Sightseeing excursions in city are tied with one problem which can spoil all the outing: traffic jams. It is especially actual for the Russian capital. However, there is another possibility to look at Moscow main sights without traffic jams and crowds of people. It is voyage by river bus on one of 10 routes, offered to tenants and guests of Moscow from Apiril till October.

Water transport in Moscow is not still very developed, so it is really more attraction than an alternative way to get from one part of the city to another. However, the water buses sail away regularly from Moscow Riverside stations and levees, taking on board tourist groups, independent tourists and Muscovites, spending their free time. Moreover, corporate events are often organized as Moscow River voyage.

This year Prices for this sail sing will be the same like year ago: 400 rubles for adults and 150 for students. It is planned to introduce discounts for seniors. This year navigation on Moscow River begins a little later, when usually, on April, 15 because of long-drawn winter. Solemn ceremony of opening a new season will take place even on April, 21 at South Riverside Station, in the picturesque landscapes of Kolomenskoye park.

The routes of Moscow water buses are:
Kievsky Railway Station - Novospassky Bridge, Kolomenskoye - Maryino - Brateevo - Kolomenskoye, Gorky Park - Novospassky Bridge - Gorky Park, Borobyovy Gory - Kotelnicheskaya levee - Borobyovy Gory, Luzhkov Bridge - Peter I the Great monument - Kremlin - Novospassky Bridge - Luzhkov Bridge, Novospassky Bridge - Bolshoy Ust'insky Bridge, ParkKultury - Bolshoy Ust'insky Bridge, Estrada Theatre - Park Cultury - Estrada Theatre, Kievsky Railway Station - Crymsky Bridge - Kievsky Railway Station.

There are other routes with excursion programs, but they are longer and weren't yet announces for this year. For example, there are routes from city centre to beaches of Serebryany bor, very popular in summer time, moreover: these beaches are easier to get by water that by public transport or car.
 

Last year the river buses have transported about a million people from April, 9 till October, 11.

Tickets for river buses can be bought on all Moscow River quays, in the park of Moscow Northern Riverside station and booked online or by phone on water carriers' website.
