The Agency for Tourism and International Cooperation of the Arkhangelsk region presented two tourist maps. The first one shows the attractions of the region, and the second one features the centre of the Arkhangelsk and everything that can interest a traveler in the city. The project is implemented within the framework of the long-term target program "The Development of Domestic and Foreign Tourism in the Arkhangelsk Region in 2011-2013".
The schematic map reflects the key camping places and attractions. The map is provided with illustrations and clearly demonstrates the places where the famous northerners were born, shows how to get to the Solovetsky Archipelago, the National Park "Russian Arctic" and other protected areas or objects of cultural heritage. With the help of this novelty the travelers can easily get acquainted with the seven wonders of the Arkhangelsk region. These include the city of Arkhangelsk, Solovki, White Sea, "Malye Korely" Museum, the Pinega caves, museum cities Kargopol and Solvychegodsk, as well as Kholmogorsky district - the birthplace of the great scientist Mikhail Lomonosov.
The map of Arkhangelsk also contains monuments, museums, railway stations, airports, post offices, hotels, large restaurants, theatres, concert halls, sports facilities and souvenir shops. It also provides the contact details of museums, the list of tour operators working in local and foreign tourism areas, the information about one-day tours to the regional centre and its surroundings, as well as the travel directions to the main attractions and the emergency phone numbers. The information blocks in the references tell about "Malye Korely", Novodvinskaya fortress, Arkhangelsk shopping arcades.
