How to use public transport in Sochi

Transport in Sochi is a network of bus routes, as well as partially duplicating them  fixed-route taxis. From the unusual forms of transport we should note the suburban sea service on the route of Sochi-Gagra, as well as funiculars and cable cars. In addition, because of the elongation of the city (Sochi is the longest city in Russia and Europe), locals and tourists use suburban electric trains as a public transport.

One of the funiculars operates near the Central Military Sanatorium, the other is at the famous  Ordzhonikidze sanatorium. There are also several cable cars. Three of them operate within Sochi itself - near the "Zarya" sanatorium,  the Dendrological Park, and also near the Neva boarding house. A few more cable cars are in Krasnaya Polyana.
