How to Use Public Transport in Vladivostok

A question that any tourist will face in Vladivostok - what transport is more convenient for travelling around the city. Guests of Vladivostok can rent a car, take a taxi or use public transport.

Prices for car rental depending on its brand vary significantly: one thousand rubles a day will cost a compact Toyota Vitz, 1,500 rubles per day for Toyota Prius and about 9 000 thousand for representative Toyota Land Cruiser 200. Cars can be either left or right-hand drive. 
 
BUS

The main types of passenger transport in Vladivostok are buses and shuttles. In total there are about one hundred city routes. The fare in the city is 23 rubles. You can track Vladivostok buses, see the route schemes and find out when the next bus arrives at the   stop on the website bus125.ru. Some of the most popular routes are those that connect the city center with micro-districts. For example, from the Second River to the center there are buses # 23, 40, 59, 60. Routes # 7t, 24, 31, 49, 54, 55 are passing by through the center of the Lugovaya and Baliayev districts. You can drive along the Golden Bridge if you take the route # 1, 15 and 15k (from the shopping center "Izumrud"). On the Russian island through the cable-stayed bridge there are routes # 15, 77e, 74, 76.

If you want to go out of town - to the sanatorium,  beaches of the Amur Bay or the Botanical Garden, you can also use the city buses:  # 102 (Semenovskaya - Ugolnaya), 103 (Lugovaya - 10th km), 104 (Tikhaya Bay - 10-th km), 105 (Semenovskaya - 10th km), 106 (Railway Station - Artem GRES), 107 (Railway Station - Airport). To get to the sandy beaches of Shamora (Lazurnaya bay), you need to take route # 28e (Semenovskaya - Emar) or 14k (a shuttle).
 
TROLLEYBUS

There are only two routes in the area of the Second River where you can use trolleybuses. You can go  from the bus station to the hospital or  the stop "Varyag". The fare is 14 rubles.

 
TRAM

Tram runs only on one route: Sakhalinskaya - Mine Town. This is the area of Balyayev, Lugovaya and Tikhaya Bay districts. Also, the tram passes by a large Chinese market. The ticket for the tram costs 14 rubles.
 
ELECTRIC TRAIN

From the Second River (Bus Station) to the center of Vladivostok (Railway Station) you can get in just fifteen minutes without any traffic jams with the help of electric trains. The disadvantage is that they only go  five times a day. The ticket price is 26 rubles. Also there are electric trains running  in the suburbs or neighboring cities with  stops within the boundaries of Vladivostok: Cape Churkin, Lugovaya, 3rd Work Station, Railway Station, 1st River, 2nd River, Sedanka, Okeanskaya. Travel around the city costs 21 rubles.
  
 
 
FUNICULAR

Vladivostok funicular operates in the city for more than fifty years. Two trailers  ply up and down the slope of the hill Orlynaya and are loved by tourists.  The length of the route is about 180 meters, the height difference between the lower and upper platforms is 70 meters. This distance is passed  in two minutes. From the windows of the trailer you can admire the view of the city center and the Golden Horn Bay. The fare for the funicular railway is 12 rubles.
 
TAXI

from 200 rubles

In Vladivostok, there are about ninety taxi services. The most popular of them are Maxim, Yandex.Taxi, Gett, First City, Primtaxi, People's Taxi, etc. The average cost of a trip around the city is 200 rubles. We recommend to use reliable services and book transfer in Vladivostok online here.
