How to Get to Zhukovsky Airport

Zhukovsky International Airport is the newest Russian international airport, located in the south-east of the Moscow region, 23 km from the capital. 

The airport is located on the territory of Ramenskoye airdrome with the longest runway in Europe (5,500 m), which allows it to receive passenger and cargo aircraft of any type.

How to get to Zhukovsky airport

Zhukovsky Airport can be reached by the following types of public transport:
 
1. By express bus from "Kotelniki"  metro station

From the metro station "Kotelniki" to the airport follow the bus number 441; the journey takes 40 to 60 minutes. Departure is  from the metro station "Kotelniki" (exit number 5). The fare is 85 rubles, or paying with contactless cards Visa, MasterCard - 70 rubles. There is a discount for children under 12 years old.
 
2. By train

1. From Kazansky railway station by the Sputnik high-speed electric train to the Otdykh railway station (Zhukovsky). Travel time is 38 minutes. Shuttle bus to the airport departs from the Otdykh railway station 13 minutes after Sputnik arrives. The journey time is 20 minutes.
 
2. From Kazansky railway station to the Otdykh railway station (Zhukovsky). The journey time is 55 minutes.  Take a shuttle bus from the Otdykh railway station  to the airport or route taxis ¹ 6 or ¹  2. The journey time is 20 minutes.
 
3. From the Vykhino metro station to the Otdykh railway station (Zhukovsky). Travel time is 35 minutes. Take a shuttle bus from the Otdykh railway station  to the airport or route taxis ¹ 6 or ¹  2. The journey time is 20 minutes.

Bus tickets are sold at the Kazansky railway station together  with a train ticket. The cost of a shuttle ticket is 100 rubles for an adult, and 25 rubles for a child.

3. Transfer

One of the best ways is to book a transfer to Zhukovsky Airport online in advance, when you have time to choose the right taxi-company providing English-speaking drivers.
 
You can catch a taxi upon your arrival right at the airport, but you should always beware of riding an unlicensed taxi. Remember, that riding an unlicensed taxi may be dangerous; besides, the prices asked before and after the ride may vary greatly.
