The Moscow Kremlin Virtual Tours

State Historical and Cultural Museum-Preserve "The Moscow Kremlin" (Moscow Kremlin Museums) announces the launching of a new web portal – modern informational and educational resource. A portal structure that allowed presenting to wide audience full and accessible information about unique art collections, architectural monuments, exhibition, scientific, educational and cultural activities of the museum has become the main difference of updated image of the Moscow Kremlin Museums on the Internet.

The Armory, Kremlin cathedrals, the Patriarch's Palace, Ivan the Great Bell Tower and the Church of the Deposition of the Robe have opened their own websites, containing information about the history of the monument, with pictures and descriptions of the most important artifacts, architectural elements and interior details.

One of the main novelties of the portal are virtual tours that allow taking a walk to the Kremlin, to get acquainted with the exposition of the Armoury, to view frescoes, icons and domes of the Kremlin cathedrals. Virtual tours can be used as a visual aid to the history, world art history, Moscow history and literature lessons in the schools.

Disabled people and residents of other regions will also be able to take a virtual tour in the museum. On the new portal for the first time the tickets will be sold online. Now visitors can choose a convenient date and time of tours and purchase tickets for the Moscow Kremlin from any personal device connected to the Internet. On visit day they need to exchange electronic voucher for a ticket at the box office number 12 or 13, located in the Alexander Garden, or print out a ticket using self-service terminal available right there.

The Calendar of exhibitions, lectures, concerts and other events held at the museum will help to plan the visit. It ıs also possible on the portal to get pre-acquainted with the assortment of museum store.

Children's attention will be drawn by Igroteka section, which has a collectıon of educational games, thematically related to the exhibits of the Kremlin museums. Parents will find on the portal descriptions of all the cultural and educational programs for children of different ages. Participants of scientific conferences and seminars held within the Moscow Kremlin museums can create private rooms and to register on the portal in advance and to use the electronic library; they will have access to all editions of scientific miscellany "Materials and Researches", published by Kremlin museums.

The portal is integrated with social networks. The portal provides direct access to the museum's official pages in Facebook, Vkontakte, Twitter and video channel on YouTube.
