Legends Of Opuk Mountain

There are several legends about the origin of the Opuk Mountain and rocks in the sea. The most popular of them speaks of two bad women-foreigners caught in this place as a result of a shipwreck.

Women called O and Puka, so named the Opuk Mountain. The ladies were cursed and could not leave offspring, so they turned into two females hoopoe, staying on the mountain forever.

Shortly after turning,  two large stones, like ships grew from the seabed near the coast, in the place where once their ship sunk .
