The name of the new Sochi Adventure Park sounds mysterious for people who are not interested in extreme entertainment: “A.J. Hackett”. We should say that A.J. Hackett is one of the owners of a New Zealand company that is opening commercial sites for bungee jumping around the world. The one located in Sochi is one of the highest sites in the world at the moment.
The Skypark in the picturesque Akhshtyrskoe Gorge on the territory of the Sochi National Park has become the largest project in the history of commercial bungee jumping. The main construction of the Skypark is the world’s longest pedestrian suspension bridge, Skybridge. It stretches for half a kilometer above the Mzymta River in Adler district, at an altitude of 207 m. Special sites for bungee jumping are set up on the bridge: in the beginning and in the middle.
Visitors can enjoy the highest attractions in Europe: “Bungee-207 m”, “Bungee-69”", the longest swing called “Sochi-swing” (170 m) and the fastest “Mega Troll” (with its speed up to 150 km/h). Even if you do not like extreme entertainment, you should come to the park at least to see the viewing platforms on the suspension bridge. They offer stunning panoramic views of the mountains, the sea and the surroundings. You can even see the “Fisht” stadium from there.
The suspension bridge is enclosed by railings and a grid, so it is safe to walk through it even with children. All attractions of Skypark operate under the supervision of the certified specialists of the “A.J. Hackett” company who will train Russian instructors.
The weight of each jumper is necessarily measured and recorded, and every jump is recorded on video. “Bungee-69” is a freestyle bungee jumping conceived by the founder of this kind of sport.
There are more than 10 types of jumps: “swallow”, with your back, with a running start, with a “sagging” start. The process is supervised by experienced jumping masters who can “throw” you into the abyss, if you wish.
You can find out more information and get access to the park at the telephone: +7 (928) 234-11-49 (Natalia Ivleva, nataly.ivleva@ajhackett.com).
Tickets to Skypark. An adult ticket costs 700 roubles, a children’s ticket (until to 12 years, upon presentation of a document) costs 350 roubles. You can buy a seasonal ticket for a year for 2700 roubles.
