Why Volen?
Volen is a resort located 46 kilometers from Moscow in the Dmitrovsky district. Among the reasons why tourists choose Volen is not only proximity to the capital and picturesque surroundings, but also a variety of trails, a well-developed infrastructure for a ski holiday and a lot of related entertainment.
Trails in Volen
The complex in the area of the city of Yakhroma consists of 14 lighted trails, including two tracks for beginners, three red tracks, eight blue and mogul tracks. Maximum length - 450 meters, elevation difference - 70 meters. The snow cover is supported by artificial snow installations. The complex near the village of Stepanovo includes 4 tracks with a maximum length of 960 meters and a height difference of up to 90 meters. Two double chair lifts will take you to the mountain. The slopes of Stepanovo are open from 11:00 (on weekends from 9:00) until 2:00.
Ski service
All Volen tracks have equipment rental services with skis, snowboards, skates, ice-boats, tubing and protection kits. Ski kit will cost 800 RUB per hour (or about 2500 RUB per day), snowboard kit - from 800 RUB per hour. Individual lessons with an instructor cost from 1500 RUB.
Restaurants in Volen
For those who like to relax in a restaurant and enjoy food, there is a special place in the Volen Park called “Mont Blanc”, where you will find dishes of French and Mediterranean cuisine. Sushi Bar "Wasabi" offers Japanese cuisine, and "Trattoria" - Italian. You can have some fast-food in the self-service cafe "Bugel-Vugel". A ski café, a pit stop bistro and a bar in the Chalet are working in Stepanovo. In the summer, it is possible to cook barbecue on the grill.
Apres ski
In winter, there is a skating rink in Volen. Children are taught alpine skiing at the children's ski club. For kids there are special game rooms. Adults can enjoy taking a steam bath (the cost for a company of 6-10 people is 3 400 RUB for two hours).
Volen in summer
You can order a mini golf course (5,000 RUB per hour). The list of entertainment available includes paintball, biking (double slalom, downhill, trial, cross-country, walking trails) and horse rididng. In summer, it is also possible to play tennis, basketball and volleyball, swim in the pool or fish in the pond.
