Mountain resort Alpika-Service, located on the slopes of the Aibga ridge, is often called the “heart of Krasnaya Polyana”. There are several reasons for this: in the 70s of the last century, it was on the site of the future "Alpika" where a branch of the training and sports base "Spartak" was built to train masters of alpine skiing. At the beginning of the 90s, the base received serious funding - new lifts were pulled into the mountains, high-quality and modern tracks were developed, and in 1993 the first ski resort Alpika-Service opened in Krasnaya Polyana. In just 10 years, it has become one of the most popular places for freeride, the venue for the Russian Cup and World Freeride Tour.

With the victory of Sochi in the competition for the Olympics, Alpika-Service received another round of development and the Sanki bobsleigh track with a new cable car.

Now Alpika-Service is part of GTZ Gazprom. After the Olympics, the mountain climate resort was again closed for renovation. Soon there will be new routes and cableways, an amusement complex, ecological hiking routes and much more. However, even now Alpika is waiting for guests - there are bars and restaurants here, you can take a cable car ride to the Sanki center or use the largest ring lift to arrive at the existing GTZ Gazprom routes.

How to get there

Alpika-Service Mountain Adventure Park, like all other resorts and ski resorts of Krasnaya Polyana, is conveniently located and has excellent transport accessibility. For example, the road from Moscow with direct flights to Sochi International Airport and the subsequent transfer by bus or train to the place will take no more than 4-5 hours.

Price for a trip from the airport to the hotel by taxi will be about 900-1300 RUB. The car can be ordered in advance, fixing the fare.

Guests can use the cable car to the Olympic Center “Sanki” or get on the longest ring elevator in the world to the GTZ “Gazprom” stations. Here you can also rent high-quality professional equipment and purchase ski passes for Gazprom tracks.

Cafes and restaurants

On the third floor of the lower station of the Alpiki-Service cable cars, the Metel family restaurant is open, decorated in the style of an Alpine chalet. The restaurant offers dishes of European and Russian cuisine, here you can have a quiet dinner or  a festive party. It has  panoramic windows around the perimeter of the restaurant, offering beautiful views of the snow-covered mountain slopes. A serving of fish on the grill will cost 500-750 RUB, meat on the grill: 650-1100 RUB for a portion, soups: 350-400 RUB, breakfasts around 200 RUB.

On the second floor of the lower cable car station there is a restaurant-bar “Pobeda”, which received the fame of one of the best après-ski  establishments in the resort area. This alpine-style beer restaurant offers a snack menu of European cuisine and a large selection of drinks, including warming punches, grog and mulled wine. Price for a glass of hot drink: 300 RUB, beer snacks from 250 to 1100 RUB.

Entertainment and Attractions

Currently, Alpika-Service offers its visitors an excursion with a tour of the Sanki luge center. The “Aibga 1” cable car leads to the observation platform near the Olympic facility at an altitude of 780 m. A walkway to the Sanki will cost 700 RUB for an adult and 400 RUB for a child. Children under 7 years of age, adults over 65, and a number of benefit recipients can attend  for free.
