Travel to Tyva: Thermal Springs

The Republic of Tyva is rich in natural healing waters, salt and mud lakes, mineral and fresh arzhaans (curative springs). Many arzhaans and lakes have their unique features and are located not only in special climatic conditions, but also in the picturesque places of the region, attracting  hundreds of tourists annually. 

Arzhaan Choigan

Arzhaan Choigan is a unique complex of thermal and cold sparkling waters, where carbon dioxide is in both dissolved and self-existing state. W
aters are used for the treatment of a wide range of diseases: cardiovascular, nervous systems, digestive organs, help with chronic gastritis, colitis, diseases of the liver and biliary tract, chronic pancreatitis, metabolic disorders, respiratory diseases of non-tuberculosis nature. Arzhaan Choygan is located at the foot of the Choigan-Daban Pass, on the border of Buryatia and the Tyva Republic.

Lake Dus-Khol (Republic of Tyva, Tandino, Lake Dus-Khol)


Anhydrous salt lake Dus-Khol (Svatikovo) is located in the central part of the Tuva basin, 42 km south of the capital of the Republic of Kyzyl.
The drainless saline lake Dus-Khol has a chloride-sulphate sodium-magnesium composition with a degree of mineralization of 167 g / l. Layers of brine and bottom mud with a temperature of + 40..42 ° Ñ (on the surface + 15..20 ° Ñ) are used together with mud application and treat diseases of the joints, digestive organs of the peripheral and central nervous system.

Ush-Beldir (Republic of Tyva, Kaa-Khem, village  Ush-Beldir)

The resort is located in the east of the republic, in the border strip with Mongolia,  the right-bank part of the Shishkhid-Gol river valley. Local miraculous springs, out of the ground (+ 80..85 ° C), are thermal, poorly mineralized, with a high content of fluorine.
First of all, diseases of the nervous system, skin and joints are treated here. Mode of operation - seasonal. There is only one hotel on the territory of the resort including 12 single, 64 double and 15 four-bed rooms.

Cheder (Kyzyl Kozhuun, village Tselinnoe, Lake Cheder)

The resort is located on the shore of the salt lake of the same name, which  is famous for its excellent therapeutic mud and brine - due to the presence of hydrogen sulfide in them.
